Meet Takiyah “Coach Kia” Henderson
“Holistic Wellness & Life Purpose Transformation Coach”<\/font><\/span><\/h2>

My name is Takiyah “Coach Kia” Henderson. I am the founder of Tenacious Moments Wellness Coaching. I have a B.A. in Africana Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte; an M.A. in Human Services Counseling: Community Care & Life Coaching from Liberty University; a Holistic Wellness  Certification; and Life Purpose and Transformation Certification from Transformation Academy.\n

\nI am 42 years young, a wife, mother of four beautiful children, ages 26 to 11, and a grandmother of four tenacious boys! My journey to becoming a Holistic Wellness & Life Purpose Transformation Coach started when I became a mother at 15 years old. I was literally catapulted (before I was ready) into this life-changing experience and had to figure out my new normal. \n\nNeedless to say, this was such a confusing time in my life. I had to figure out who I wanted to be and how I was going to get there… and fast! I felt depressed and lonely most of the time, especially being the only one in my friend group juggling a baby, school, and a job.

I was lowkey embarrassed and carried a lot of guilt and shame for years. At the time, I did not know my purpose and thought that I would just be stuck living life as it came to me and not the life that I envisioned. It took a while for me to identify real love, find my voice, and understand my life’s purpose.\n\nThank goodness that I finally did… I survived and thrived! Thanks to my spiritual upbringing, I found a way to persevere through those moments of uncertainty and excelled in many areas of my life.

Additionally, I was blessed to have a support system and the gift of resiliency and tenacity to keep moving forward. Even with all the adversity I experienced, I knew deep inside that I was powerful and my life had a purpose. \n\nI believe that we all have a purpose behind our pain. Our stories, from childhood and upward, help to shape some of the passions that fuel our purpose. Today, I am living on purpose and fulfilling my mission because I chose to embrace my pain instead of becoming a slave to it. I AM THE HERO OF MY STORY!!!

\n\nMy life’s purpose is to help other women use their stories and experiences to discover their strengths and define their life’s purpose so they can live healthy and fulfilling lives without feeling guilty or ashamed about how they got there. I encourage and support all women who feel lost, stuck, or confused on their journey to unleash the power within them and create forward momentum in their lives.\n\nLet’s work together to design your Tenacious Moment, renew your mind, and transform your life through meaningful, thought-provoking conversations that will challenge you to take life-altering action steps toward designing a life where mind, body, and soul are well-balanced… That is my Tenacious Moment!!\n
